A two-year project I finished earlier this year and managed by Words Beats and Life for The Department Of Veterans Affairs, Mayor's Office of Veterans Affairs of DC and Downtown DC. Installed on-site at McPherson Square Metro.

This project was a personal one, with my Grandfather being one of the three people featured in the center. He served in WW2 in the Pacific on a destroyer as an Engineer at the bottom of the hull. My Grandfather's legacy and ancestry come from a long line of proud Chickasaw and Choctaw Warriors, Code Talkers and Soldiers. He almost never spoke of the war or what he saw - but with this painting, it's a way to honor him for his sacrifice along with everyone else that has served.
